About UsThank you for visiting our Galena Glass Jewelry website. Our names are Rebecca McIntyre and Julie Spangler and together we are GALENA GLASS JEWELRY. We live in Galena, Illinois a beautiful village full of 19th century charm, history, and home to hundreds of talented artists! Being surrounded by artists of every kind, it’s hard not to let your creative side take over! We fell in love with the art of fusing glass and now it is our passion to create one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry with exceptional quality!
Each one of our jewelry designs is unique – just like each one of us is unique in our own personality and style! Each piece is a combination of 2-4 layers of glass fused in a kiln, expertly hand-shaped and fire polished. Some designs require 3 or 4 firings to achieve the desired effect.
